Connor Bedard Set to Return to Blackhawks

Connor Bedard, the captain of the Chicago Blackhawks, is set to make his season debut against the Pittsburgh Penguins on Tuesday. Bedard, who has been recovering from left shoulder surgery since July, has been cleared medically to play. He has been sidelined since the offseason after sustaining a shoulder injury during training.

Blackhawks coach Jeff Blashill shared that Bedard is ‘trending toward’ a return and plans to center the top line alongside Patrick Kane and Roman Kanstserov. Bedard’s participation hinges on him continuing to feel good during Tuesday’s morning skate.

Last season, Bedard was the team’s top scorer with 75 points in 69 games. His return is highly anticipated as the Blackhawks have struggled at the start of this season, managing only one win in their first six games. Chicago hopes that Bedard’s comeback will boost their performance, especially on the power play.
